Serena chose Serving Others (When You Barely Have Time To Take Care Of Yourself!) from Women with Intention. “I personally feel like this sometimes. paper-angels-682x1024

Angie chose Angeli di carta fai da te * DIY paper Angels from Caseperlatesta. “These paper angels are so simple but yet so classy – many ways to decorate with them – on the tree, in a nativity scene or as a place setting for Christmas dinner!”

img_6775

Cathy chose Pancake Battered Banana Bites from The Pinterested Parent. “I can’t wait to serve these adorable little bites to the little ones in my life…except I know the big ones in my life are going to love them too!”

Screen Shot 2014-11-10 at 9.49.16 PM

Stasia chose Nursing & Pumping Essentials from The Memoirs of a Mommy. “I just would have found this list super helpful when I was pregnant and will definitely use it the second time around!”

Mommy-Wheres-Your-Meatball-

Tenns chose Mommy, Where’s Your Meatball? A Tale About Testicles + Tips for Discussion from Epic Mommy Adventures. “While it was hilarious, it gave me a real reality check of what it means to raise a boy. I have a bit more of an idea of one of the many crazy things that may happen with having a son.”

IMG_1503-1024x682

Silvie chose 4 Simple & Oh So Cute Christmas Gifts from Always Made with Love. “These 4 ideas are adorable, simple and easy to do. These would make perfect stocking stuffers or add a nice touch to gift baskets, or use as bows on gifts!”

Image

Tiffany chose 7 Tips to Being a Better Stay-At-Home-Mama from Seven Graces. “I love this post! It can be so hard to remember that being at home is not only about taking care of our children but taking care of ourselves as well. A better us means a better Woman, Wife and Mother for everyone else.”

7-Books-for-Bloggers1

Stacey chose 7 Epic Books for Bloggers from Amber Kristine. “What a wonderful listing of books! Even though I have been at this blogging thing for almost two years, I still feel like there is so much that I have yet to learn. I am definitely going to check into some of these. Thank you so much for sharing!”

today2

Jessica chose A Better Human Being from Two Teens and Their Mama. “What an inspiring story! It made me think of what I currently have in life and be thankful for it all :). Thanks for the beautiful share!”

Rhonda also chose this post. “During dark hours we sometimes loose sight of the blessings that we still have. To strive to be A Better Human Being during difficult things takes courage, but it also takes courage to strive to be A Better Human Being during our good times. Hopefully we will remember just how blessed we are this holiday season.”

Gummy-vitamins

Meghan chose Two random parenting fails from Ripped Jeans & Bifocals. “I love this post because it is just so honest. It’s easy to hide behind the computer and make it seem (on purpose or not) that your life is perfect to your readers.”

Rebeka chose 10 Ways To Save On Thanksgiving Dinner from A Mitten Full of Savings. “With holiday travels, two big dinners, presents for 4 others and stockings for all guests on Christmas eve, the holidays get pretty tight on money. I love these suggestions to help ease the strain on the pocketbook. You can even use several of the tips together!”

Objectified

Natasha chose Objectified from British Mum USA. “I am upset about this post on so many levels, but I do feel that there is a bright side too. Your daughter’s friend not only recognized that this is an issue but she did something about it – she spoke up! I have seen this happen many times, and yes, the boy is a complete idiot but sometimes the girls fall for it believing that the only way for him to like her is to have sex with him. It is so sad! And that’s why I’m so incredibly proud of your daughter’s friend for not dealing with it or believing it is acceptable.”

Why The LG OLED Is On My Santa Baby List!

Disclosure: I have been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or complimentary.

Best Buy LG_OLED_Infill_smaller file 2

Okay the LG OLED from Best Buy is on my MUST list this holiday. Long story short I have not purchased a new television ever and the ones which were gifted to us through the years are all REALLY big and have big backs! Lol…

Print

As an empty nester I woke up one day to find myself living like the Flint Stones when actually I should be living like the Jetsons! I LOVE my televisions. I have television nights and even viewing season viewing parties. Since I am a television correspondent for a few prime shows it would be really nice to experience the new technology and perhaps even let go of the ever growing cable bill. So in my effort to step my game up I have begun my love affair with Best Buy once again. Now truth be told I LOVE all LG products and already have quite a few of the appliances, cellular phones and accessories as well as a watch so as you can see I have a strong belief in the brand. I have been watching their line of televisions for about four years and simply stated this one has won my heart! I just LOVE the technology that comes as standard. Oh and the picture is so vibrant and in your face that it is truly an experience. And we will not even talk about the finely tuned marching band quality. Yes, the LG OLED is on my Santa Baby list!

Best Buy LG_UHD_smaller file

What is OLED TV?

The Santa Baby LG OLED TV is 0.21″ thick at its thinnest point. The picture has an Infinite Contrast which ranges from an in your face experience by presenting the most amazing blazing whites to the deepest blacks through LG’s exclusive 4 Color Pixel technology delivers bright, vibrant colors. So what is on your Santa Baby list?

Here are the Featured posts from last week!

Kitchen-Basics-101-How-to-carve-a-turkey-1024x1024

Cindy chose Kitchen Basics 101: How to Carve a Turkey from Robyn’s View. “My father always carves the turkey at Thanksgiving and Christmas. As much as I hate to admit it, he is getting up there in age. Someone else in the family needs to master this skill. Recently I brought home a rotisserie chicken for dinner and I asked hubby to carve it up and he had no idea how to do it! We hacked away at it but it sure wasn’t pretty. This post gives great instructions on how to accomplish carving a turkey.”

Infused-Water-1024x748

Jillian chose Infused Water from Robyn’s View. “I have always been a fan of water, but nothing tastes better than when you add some fruit and spice it up. It makes it more exciting and means I’m more likely to grab and gulp!”

Real-Brothers-300x200

Meghan chose The Target Effect – Adoption Tales from the Checkout Line from Ripped Jeans & Bifocals. “This is hilarious and sad at the same time. I have not adopted though I have always thought about it. But I would never think to ask someone randomly about their adopted kids. I have the upmost respect for her and everyone else who adopts. People ask the dumbest, and sometimes hurtful, things. Even if you haven’t adopted, you can still relate to dumb questions that you have received while pregnant or after your baby is born … and well in to their life. There are plenty of times I just want to turn around and sock someone.”

FFflowers6

Damjana chose Color Changing Oxeye Daisies from Frogs and Fairies. “Did you know you can even dye daisies!? In real life, not just on a computer screen, using some fancy web design app!!! It was a blast for me when I saw it and I believe you’ll all want to try it out! A wonderful and fresh idea, especially for those of us who’d love a splash of fresh colors. Especially in combination with flowers!”

Tiffany also chose this post. “I picked this post because as soon as I started reading it I went back to the days before my Husbands first deployment and how he treasured every day he could have with our children. Now that he is back we still take the time to have time that is just for him. It is truly so important.”

IMG_9976

Yolanda chose The Importance of Daddy Time from Winks and Eyerolls. “The reason that I picked this is because fatherhood often doesn’t get the amount of attention that it deserves. I also have an amazing husband who is hands on with our son. It is an amazing, and important relationship that exists between a father and their child.”

Butterfinger-Fudge-6

Mari chose Butterfinger Fudge from Gal on a Mission. ” I loved the fact that Chelsea used just 4 ingredients to make this amazing treat. Less was more for sure.”

Silvie also chose this post. “I chose the Butterfinger Fudge Recipe because I like recipes that have simple ingredients and taste yummy. After making this recipe I was amazed at how delicious this fudge comes out!”

Pumpkin-Spice-Bundt-Cake-01

Amy chose Pumpkin Spice Bundt Cake Recipe from The Painted Hinge. “I’m still in Fall mode and this Pumpkin cake may just be my new seasonal favorite. It’s easy to make, has just a few ingredients, and looks delicious!”

BloggingAsAProfssion-01

Stacey chose NaBloPoMo | Blogging As A Profession from New Mama Diaries. “Tenns offered some amazing points to go by for making a professional and well designed site. Thank you so much for sharing!”

Rustic-Log-Holiday-Card-Display-768x1024

Tina chose Rustic Log Holiday Card Display from Anything & Everything. “Absolutely beautiful!! I love Christmas Craft Tutorials! A fabulous rustic feel and a great way to display your Christmas Cards!!! Simple but beautiful. I love Christmas!! Thanks for sharing!”

Thanksgiving-Turkey-Rice-Krispie-Treats

Rhonda chose Turkey Rice Krispie Treats | Fun Thanksgiving Dessert! from Moms Need To Know. “I always make a Thanksgiving treat for the kids, as none of them are partial to pumpkin or sweet potato pie. These are adorable, and will add a festive touch to the Thanksgiving table.”

quirky-1024x1024

Serena chose 5 Quirky Things… When I don’t know what to write. from Clay Clan Cultivates. “I like it because I feel like this sometimes. I also like it because it will probably not be funny to a non blogger, even though it will be hilarious to a blogger so it’s almost like an inside joke. It’s brilliant! I hate selfies, too…”

Butternut-Squash-Pear-Brown-Rice-Chicken-Soup-Chopped-2-919x1024

Angie chose Butternut Squash, Pear, Brown Rice, Chicken Soup Chopped from The Kitchen Chopper. “I liked it just because it looked delicious & was a unique combination of ingredients.”

PrintableThankYouNotes-580x828

Rebeka chose Writing Charming Thank You Notes (FREE Printable) : Day 12 of 12 Days of Shopping from Pragmatic Mom.

slowcooker

Stasia chose 77 Quick Throw-Together Slow Cooker Meals from Little House Living. “LIfe is very busy (as with most) and I am always looking for quick and easy slow cooker meals. Something I can throw in in the morning before work and is ready by the time everyone gets home. It takes stress off of our lives!”

5-Signs-That-You-Have-A-Threenager

Natasha chose 5 Signs That You Have A Threenager! from Domain of the Mad Mommy. “Love. This. Post. Because I taught I had it so horrible when my son was 2, but now that he’s 3 and losing his mind on a daily occasion, I’m realizing how great 2 really was! The arguments are endless, the fights are senseless, and the tantrums are fruitless – still he continues and still I won’t break! I surely have a threenager!”

Are You Ready For THE Paula Deen Holiday LIVE Edition?

Disclosure: I received complimentary tickets to host giveaway.

~ Photo Credit | Paula Dean & Springer Mtn Farms ~

I had the BEST time on Monday! I stepped in for Bernetta Styles at the exclusive Springer Mountain Farms luncheon with Paula Deen. I cannot stay THANK YOU enough to Bernetta for this. She is a pretty cool blogger buddy and helped me check off a bucket list item. What bucket list item? A celebrity cooked for me. Lol… Here is video of how her show flows.

Paula was such a delight and husband, Michael is too funny! We talked about grilling for about twenty minutes. Just Michael and I talking away about this REALLY cool Grill Dome at the Guy Gunter Home showroom that was EVERYTHING! This was a small intimate luncheon of about twenty and she cooked jambalaya for us and talked all about her wonderful world of cooking, the Paula Deen Network, why she uses nothing but Springer Mountain Farms chicken in her restaurants and her event this Sunday at the Woodruff Arts Center. She is so down to earth and delightful I really had a nice time. She even insisted we call her Paula instead of Mrs. Deen. She even joked that Mrs. Deen was her ex-husband’s dead mother. Here are some pictures from the luncheon.
